Billing & Insurance

California is a ‘Direct Access’ state, meaning you can start occupational therapy without a referral. If you are a patient of Southland Urology you should request a referral from your doctor to keep your care team coordinated.

OC Pelvic Wellness is an out-of-network provider. This model allows us to provide one-on-one care for a full hour without insurance companies dictating treatment. We do not bill insurance directly (with the exception of Southland Urology referrals).

Comfort is key! Wear clothing that you can move freely in, similar to what you would wear to the gym or yoga. Loose pants or leggings are perfect.

After each visit, we provide you with a detailed medical receipt called a Superbill. You can submit this to your insurance carrier (usually PPO plans) to request reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits.

An internal pelvic floor assessment is the ‘gold standard’ for some conditions because it allows us to test the specific muscles causing your symptoms. However, it is never mandatory. We can do a lot with external assessment, breathing mechanics, and movement analysis if you are not comfortable with an internal exam.

Absolutely. We accept all major Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.

Yes! We are a baby-friendly clinic. We find that patients often get the most out of their sessions when they can use this time to focus entirely on their own healing and body awareness. However, we understand that finding childcare isn’t always possible. If you need to bring your little one, you are always welcome to do so, and we will incorporate them into your movement exercises.

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within the 24-hour window will result in a forfeiture of the session fee.

We dedicate a full hour to every session. We find this allows enough time for comprehensive treatment without feeling rushed. However, the structure of our time together is always flexible and tailored to meet your unique goals and needs.

Our session rates are $250 for an initial evaluation and $200 for follow-up visits. To hold your spot, payment is collected 7 days in advance.
